 Dear Franklin Regional News:

The Westmoreland County Food Bank would like to thank your student volunteers for their efforts during the recent Murrysville Food Drive. Even when the weather turned cold and rainy these students showed up and helped to make this food drive a success.  Approximately $2600 and 1700 pounds of donated food was collected for the needy.  We couldn’t have done it without your students.  They were courteous and respectful at all times.  We thank Ms. Monica Rothhaar, who recruited students through the National Honor Society.  We also thank the countless community members who donated to this worthy cause.  During this time of economic uncertainty, we find comfort in knowing we have neighbors who care about the needy.  Please visit our website, www.westmorelandfoodbank.org,  where you may donate on-line or find other ways to help.  Thanks so much!

We did not have enough donations for the Art Auction at this time, but plan on having it come early February (plan ahead for those Valentine’s Day gifts).  This will give more time for those students and staff who wanted to make something especially for the Auction.  We will continue to collect artwork for the Art Auction, and the money will still go to the Food Bank.  If you would like to make a donation of any hand made items (jewelry, drawing, painting, cross-stitch, any art work), please see Mrs. Mozina in room 134.

The FRHS E-News is an electronic newsletter distributed independently by the members of your PTO as a volunteer service to the community to keep you up-to-date and informed about what is happening at the senior high level. Occasionally, there are mistakes, but we make every attempt to verify and publish accurate information on a timely basis. If you have news you would like to have published, please send your information to me at FRHSnews@comcast.net.  Please remember, it would be helpful to have a minimum of a week lead time to publish the information. To subscribe/unsubscribe to the newsletter, please send email to the same address.
