Westmoreland Food Bank Needs Your Help and its very easy to help… just read below

“Due to the economic condition, the Westmoreland County Food Bank’s inventory is drastically low.  At this time of year especially as the weather is getting colder, warm nourishing food is needed.  Therefore, a food and cash/check drive will be held, at the Rite Aid and Shur Save parking lots in Murrysville, on Nov 8 and 15 from 10am until 4pm

Westmoreland County Food Bank trucks will be set up to collect non-perishable food and cash/check donations which are all tax deductible.  While you are grocery shopping for your family this week, please consider picking up a jar of peanut butter, can of tuna fish, dry pasta and sauce, Dinty Moore Stew, canned orange juice or some other substantial food items.  Your donations will be helping your own neighbors.

If you would like to volunteer for a 2 hour block of time on those days (all ages welcome), please call the WCFB, Louise Wilhelm, at 724-468-8660 ext. 13.”

Please Support the FR Band Fruit Sale

It is once again time for the annual band fruit sale. This annual sale is the major opportunity for the students to raise funds to cover the cost of upcoming trips. The following are the key items to consider for your participation in the 2008 fruit sale. Thank you for your support.

·         We are using the same fruit supplier that has served us well for the past nine years. They are reporting excellent fruit quality again this year. Prices have been reduced this year or remain unchanged.

·         The fruit sale begins October 14, 2008 and ends November 11, 2008. All order forms must be returned to Mr. Pollock by that date.  Fruit will be delivered to your building the week of December 8th.

·         Please make check payable to “FRBB”

·         Profit earned from your order will go directly into the travel account of the band student that you designate. Please identify that person on the order form.
