Home Coming Parade Returns – Friday, Oct 24th The tradition of the Homecoming parade returns. This parade consists of cheerleaders, band, color guards, pantherettes, Homecoming court, and the coolest floats we have ever seen. This year we are bringing back this old tradition. Putting a float together gets everyone into the Homecoming spirit by involving everyone because they can put teams together to build a float. This is going to be a lot of work, but I believe that this is the year to bring it back. Start building that float today. Any questions? Delmont Food Bank in Desparate Need of Food If you’re interested in donating food items (see suggestions listed below), they can be dropped off in room 126. Small items can be placed in/by my mailbox. If need be, we can even arrange pickup service from your room. We will be making a delivery to the food bank warehouse in Delmont every Thursday. This warehouse is the distribution center for all of the smaller food pantries (e.g., Mother of Sorrows) in Westmoreland County. If you wish to make a monetary donation, my class would be willing to make some trips to the store to pick out items that are needed most at that time. Right now, the highest priority items are cereal, peanut butter and paper products. Don’t forget the young’uns ... pick up some of that after-Halloween-sale candy, too. I promise not to hoard it for myself! Thanks for your help! Judy Polczynski The Delmont food bank is in bad shape as their inventory is down to nothing. I will put a box or bin in the copy room tomorrow for anyone who would like to donate some of the following items. Our Life Skills students work at the food bank on Thursdays.
