FRHS E-NEWS

Sat, Sept 6, 2008

Welcome to FRHS E-news… an electronic newsletter distributed independently by the members of your PTO. This newsletter is provided as a volunteer service to the senior high parents and other community members to keep parents up-to-date and informed about what is happening at the senior high level. Occasionally, there are mistakes, but we make every attempt to verify and publish accurate information on a timely basis. If you have news you would like to have published, please send your information to me at FRHSnews@comcast.net. Please remember, it would be helpful to have a minimum of a week lead time to publish the information. To subscribe/unsubscribe to the newsletter, please send email to FRHSnews@comcast.net.    Thank you! Darlene H. Skupien, FRHS E-News Editor

Remember to wear Blue and GOLDon Friday!

*** Late notice about an informative Webinar! ****

Health Screenings Begin

Health Screening for height, weight and vision will begin next Tuesday 9/9 for the entire freshmen class.  We will once again screen the students during their English classes.  All of the certified school nurses will be here to screen the students so that they can return to class as quickly as possible.  English Teachers, please escort your students each period to the nurse's office after taking attendance.  Please stay with your class until all of your students have been screened.

The sophomore class will be screened Wednesday 9/10.

The senior class will be screened Thursday 9/11.

The junior class will be screened Tuesday 9/16.

The junior class will also be screened, alphabetically, for hearing Friday morning 9/19.  Make up screening for all grades will be held Friday afternoon 9/19.

Due to the massive screening, the nurse’s office will be CLOSED!  Please send emergencies to the office.  Please encourage students to treat cold symptoms at home BEFORE school.  Please remind students to wear their contact lenses or glasses on screening day.  Thank you for your cooperation!

Urgent News from the school Nurse…  If you have not returned your Emergency cards they are past due.  Look for them in your child’s back pack and please turn your completed card into the nurse as soon as possible. They were handed out the first week of school.

Cafeteria News… There is a great way to pay and monitor what your kids eat at the cafeteria. I highly recommend using the online mealpay program.  The web site is www.mealpayplus.com – it’s a convenient way to pay for your child’s lunch and to figure out what they eat.
